Veterinary Hospital Revives Hallway Walls with Low-VOC CHEMCLAD GP

A busy hallway in a Canadian veterinary hospital was showing severe wear: peeling, chipped, and scratched paint created hygiene concerns as well as an unsightly appearance.

Hospital management sought a durable, low-VOC coating that could endure a demanding medical environment while ensuring the safety of animals sensitive to air contaminants.

The local ENECON Distributor in Montreal recommended CHEMCLAD GP, chosen for its exceptional chemical resistance and low-VOC formulation, an ideal fit for health- focused indoor environments.

To prepare the surfaces, the application team first scraped away all loose paint. They then used dry ice blasting, a clean alternative to grit blasting that avoids the release of airborne particles and secondary waste, which is critical in a clinical setting.

Two coats of CHEMCLAD GP were applied, transforming the hallway with a fresh, uniform finish. In addition to improved aesthetics, the low-VOC coating provided lasting protection and helped maintain a healthier air quality standard for the hospital's animal patients.
