ENECON has been providing innovative repair and protection solutions to data centers for many years.
When several backup generator housings at a major data center in the San Francisco Bay Area began experiencing significant interior and exterior corrosion, ENECON NorCal was contacted to restore and protect these critical structures.
The exterior surfaces were prepared by grinding away loose corrosion, followed by high-pressure washing to remove surface contaminants. Three coats of ENESEAL CR were then spray-applied to provide long-term corrosion protection.
Several of the generator housings also featured diamond-plate carbon steel floors that had suffered extensive corrosion. These floors were mechanically prepared using scarifying equipment to establish a suitable surface profile for adhesion.
One coat of ENESEAL RC rust converter was then applied, followed by ENECLAD SuperBond and two coats of CHEMCLAD GP to provide a durable, corrosion-resistant finish.
With both the interior floors and exterior surfaces restored and protected, these critical backup generator housings are now better equipped to withstand corrosion and environmental exposure, helping extend their service life and reduce future maintenance costs.
