A 30 year old stairway leading to the main entrance of a busy building was deteriorating and cracking. Completely rebuilding the stairway wasn’t an ideal solution in terms of both time and expense. That’s where we introduced the concept of repairing not replacing.
The products used were ENECRETE® DuraQuartz™ which is a concrete repair compound specifically formulated and precisely engineered to provide solutions to even the most difficult concrete repair and protection problems and CHEMCLAD® SC, a two component, 100% solids, polymer system used for creating an outstanding corrosion and chemical resistant, protective coating on all types of equipment and structures. Anti-slip grit was added and a UV resistant coating was also applied.
The client was so pleased by with the work and the cost savings that three additional stairwells are scheduled to be done as well.
